Chapter 21 [Shaeas POV] The rest of the day was extremely awkward. Since half of the house was empty, leaving just me, Joe, Nick and Joanna alone, there was an eerie silence that spread through the halls and rooms. It was obvious Nick and Joanna knew they were wrong. Well, Nick knew he was wrong, Joanna was just scared of Joe screaming again. I have to admit, when Joe snapped at Nick, I got scared too. Joe never screams, hes usually very calm and peaceful. Well, whatever calm is for Joe, at least. Joe and I had talked in my room for about 30 minutes and then we decided to head downstairs. Joanna was in the guest room taking a shower. Joe had decided to head over to the TV and watch some movies. I chose to look for Nick. I found him in the music room, which was a room that had all the instruments and recording things. I found Nick behind the piano, bashing away a beautiful melody, his eyes closed. He didnt see or hear me enter, so when I came and sat next to him on the piano stool, he slightly jumped. "Hey," I said after a few awkward and quiet minutes. "Hi" he whispered. I noticed that he wouldnt look me in the eyes. "So, what were you playing there?" I asked trying to make light conversation and ease the tension. "Oh, it was nothing, just whatever," he said, still staring down at the keyboard. It was quiet for about 10 minutes, which honestly felt like eternity.
